NewsNote: JazzList Finds a Home

I'm hard at work on our new domain, NJJazzList.com. Please come over and set a bookmark there.

As to other improvements, I've been talking about having some kind of jazz musician registry and/or teacher location tool--working on those ideas. There have also been some requests for more descriptions of the players/acts that are listed. We certainly will have more space in our new home so maybe some pages or samples. Also, more requests on information about the venues. I might be asking you to upload a thumbnail photo, too, because people like pictures. So, lots going on and thanks for all the great ideas. As I'm sure you know, this is not my full-time work. Things will progress slowly.

More good news: I know this site is working from the great emails people send me, as well as the complaints when a date for something improtant doesn't get posted. Actually, I like that, too. Please remember that our strength is in numbers-even though we're not talking big numbers. That means you should talk up jazz events and direct people to the site. Who knows, maybe we'll find a sponsor for an event of our own-that's another idea in the works. -Andy
